Question of the Moment
If you spent the rest of your life in a movie, what movie would you choose?

I don't know why, but this question fascinated me when I came up with it. I mean, if I remain ME there are a lot of favorite movies that I wouldn't want to be in. I'm just not prepared for it. I love Serenity, but I have a powerful need to eat and I don't like shootin' much.

I know that Middle Earth would be fascinating so I'm going for Lord of the Rings. Do you know if Gandalf needs an accountant... er, scribe?

  1. I asked my husband the question and he immediately said, "Star Wars." That would be cool, too. I could be a diplomat type. Remember, I tested out as Queen Amidala.

  2. The problem is that what usually makes a good movie, like dramatic tension and uncomfortable settings, is not conducive to an environment I'd like to live with.

So I'd have to go with a meta-movie like Vanya on 42nd Street, 'cause then I'm a NYC actor and I get to hang w/Wallace Shawn and Julianne Moore.

  3. I'm thinking the Lion, the Witch, and the Wadrobe. I'd love to have tea with a faun.

  6. How about a book--can a choose a book, even if it hasn't been made into a movie? If I can choose a book, I pick the Golden Age by John Wright!

If I have to choose a movie... uhm... Hmm. I'd like to pick a sci-fi flick, but all those coming to mind are too distopian or too space-opera-ish for my taste. But I haven't had coffee yet today.

  7. I'd definately choose to live in the Star Trek universe over the Star Wars universe because every ship in Star Trek is clean enough to eat off the floor, while Star Wars ships are all grimy.

Of course, I'd like to live in Bisexual Orgy Club or Naughty Nighttime Nurses: The Director's Cut, but after a while it's murder on your lower back.

  8. Bruce - oooo, I like the book idea. Considering that I used to read the Hitchhikers Guide trilogy every year it was almost like I lived in it anyway. Although there are MANY books that would be fun to live in, gotta go with the Guide.

    Don - Ha!
